Amend CSHB 1504 (house committee printing) as follows:
(1) Amend page 14, lines 9 through 12 to read as follows:
(1) dispose of the contested case by issuing a final order based on the administrative law judge's findings of fact and conclusions of law;
(2) dismiss the contested case if no violations of the act or board rules were established, based on the administrative law judge's findings of fact and conclusions of law; or
(3) appeal the administrative law judge's final decision based on their findings of fact and conclusions of law in the manner provided by Section 164.0072.
(2) Amend page 14, lines 18 through 20 of the bill to read as follows:
For each case, the board has the sole authority and discretion to determine the appropriate action or sanction if a violation of the act or board rule has been established.
