Amend HB 1897 (house committee report) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTION ____.  Subchapter A, Chapter 2211, Insurance Code, is amended by adding Section 2211.006 to read as follows:

Sec. 2211.006.  APPLICABILITY OF CERTAIN LAWS. Sections 2211.004, 2211.005, 2211.158, and 2211.159 and Subchapter D-1 do not apply to a risk located in a county with a population of more than one million that is adjacent to a county with a population of more than one million.
