Amend CSHB 2137 (house committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
SECTION ____. Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 411.19501 to read as follows:
Sec. 411.19501. WAIVER OF FEES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS 65 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. Notwithstanding any other provision of this subchapter, if an applicant for the license is 65 years of age or older, the department shall waive any fee required for the issuance of an original, duplicate, modified, or renewed license under this subchapter.
