Amend CSSB 1663 (senate committee printing), in SECTION 2 of the bill, as follows:
(1) In amended Section 2166.5011(b), Government Code (page 2, line 3), between "by" and "Section", insert "Subsection (d) and".
(2) In added Section 2166.5011(d), Government Code (page 2, line 27), strike "this section" and substitute "this subsection".
(3) At the end of added Section 2166.5011(d), Government Code (page 2, line 29), insert "A monument or memorial on property of an institution of higher education may be removed, relocated, or altered only by approval of the institution's governing board.".
(4) In added Section 2166.5012, Government Code (page 2, lines 40-47), strike added Subsection (b) and substitute the following:
(b) Notwithstanding Section 2166.003, an institution of higher education may rename or alter a designation only if the renaming or alteration is approved by the institution's governing board.
