Amend CSSB 1663 (senate committee printing) as follows:
(1) In SECTION 2 of the bill, immediately following amended Section 2166.5011(a), Government Code (page 2, between lines 1 and 2), by inserting the following:
(a-1) This section does not apply to a monument or memorial named for, depicting, or otherwise relating to a Confederate or Civil War figure, group, or event.
(2) In SECTION 4 of the bill, immediately following added Section 338.001, Local Government Code (page 3, between lines 17 and 18), by inserting the following:
Sec. 338.0015. APPLICABILITY. This chapter does not apply to a monument or memorial named for, depicting, or otherwise relating to a Confederate or Civil War figure, group, or event.
