AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
It has been reported that many elderly individuals who have had their driver's license surrendered or revoked are unaware of or unable to complete the procedures to obtain another form of identification. H.B. 345 seeks to address this issue by providing for the automatic issuance of a personal identification certificate to a person who is 60 years of age or older at the time the person's driver's license is surrendered or revoked.
H.B. 345 amends current law relating to the automatic issuance of a personal identification certificate to a person 60 years of age or older whose driver's license has been surrendered or revoked.
