COMPARISON OF ORIGINAL AND SUBSTITUTE

While C.S.H.B. 1064 may differ from the original in minor or nonsubstantive ways, the following summarizes the substantial differences between the introduced and committee substitute versions of the bill.

The substitute does not include the specification that regular observance of Texas Firefighters Day be in public schools and other places and does not include the requirement that the Texas Education Agency develop recommendations for the observation of the day in public schools.

The substitute includes the specification that regular observance of the day be by appropriate ceremonies and activities.
