AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

It has been suggested that allowing a county assistance district to act in areas outside its boundaries may improve the district's ability to benefit the community and operate in a cost‑efficient manner. H.B. 1120 seeks to provide more flexibility for such a district by authorizing the district to perform certain functions both inside and outside its boundaries.

H.B. 1120 amends current law relating to the powers of county assistance districts.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
