AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
H.B. 2767 would allow a county clerk to send a marriage license via e-mail upon request by the applicant in addition to mailing the license. This would enable courts not only to keep pace with technological trends but also serve military families and families who relocate often.
H.B. 2767 amends current law relating to the delivery of a recorded marriage license by e-mail.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
