AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
H.B. 3912 amends current law relating to state agency reports submitted to the legislature.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS
SECTION 1. Amends Section 2052.0021, Government Code, by adding Subsection (f), as follows:
(f) Provides that, notwithstanding a law that requires a state agency to submit a report to the legislature for an indefinite period, a state agency:
(1) is not required to submit the report to the legislature after the 10th anniversary of the date the state agency first submitted the report to the legislature; and
(2) is required to state in each report submitted under the law requiring the report the date after which the agency is not required to submit the report to the legislature as provided by Subdivision (1).
SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2019.
