BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
Denton County has recently experienced rapid growth, and it has been noted that even more growth is projected for the next few decades. A need has been identified for additional district court capacity, based on recommendations of the Office of Court Administration of the Texas Judicial System and based on the number of courts provided in similarly populated counties. H.B. 4085 seeks to address this situation by creating the 467th Judicial District composed of Denton County.
