AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to designating March 30 as Master Sergeant Jonathan J. |
|
|
Dunbar Day. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 662.071 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 662.071. MASTER SERGEANT JONATHAN J. DUNBAR DAY. (a) |
|
|
March 30 is Master Sergeant Jonathan J. Dunbar Day in honor of |
|
|
Master Sergeant Jonathan J. Dunbar, who served in the United States |
|
|
Army and gave his life in defense of this nation. |
|
|
(b) Master Sergeant Jonathan J. Dunbar Day shall be |
|
|
regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
