A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the application of the open meetings law to the medical |
|
|
advisory board. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter H, Chapter 12, Health and Safety |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 12.099 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 12.099. OPEN MEETINGS. (a) All meetings of the |
|
|
medical advisory board or a panel shall be conducted in accordance |
|
|
with the open meetings law, Chapter 551, Government Code. |
|
|
(b) This section and Chapter 551, Government Code, do not |
|
|
require the medical advisory board or a panel to conduct an open |
|
|
meeting to deliberate a record, a report, or testimony described by |
|
|
Section 12.097(a). |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
