A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the disclosure of interested parties by business |
|
|
entities contracting with open-enrollment charter schools. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2252.908(a)(2), Government Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(2) "Governmental entity" means a municipality, |
|
|
county, public school district, open-enrollment charter school |
|
|
established under Subchapter D, Chapter 12, Education Code, or |
|
|
special-purpose district or authority. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 2252.908, Government Code, as amended by |
|
|
this Act, applies only to a contract subject to that section that is |
|
|
entered into, amended, or renewed on or after the effective date of |
|
|
this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020. |
