A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the amount of the health care services fee paid by |
|
|
certain inmates. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 501.063(a)(1), Government Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a)(1) An inmate confined in a facility operated by or under |
|
|
contract with the department, other than a halfway house, who |
|
|
initiates a visit to a health care provider shall pay a health care |
|
|
services fee to the department in the amount of $10 |
|
|
per visit |
|
|
[$100]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 501.063(a)(2), Government Code, is |
|
|
repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
