A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

|
|
relating to waiving certain annual training requirements for foster |
|
|
parents. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 42.042, Human Resources Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (p-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(p-1) The executive commissioner by rule shall create a |
|
|
procedure to allow a foster child's caseworker to waive any annual |
|
|
training requirement for the child's foster parent that is not |
|
|
directly related to caring for the foster child. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
