A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the allocation of certain revenue from mixed beverage |
|
|
gross receipts and sales taxes. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The heading to Subchapter C, Chapter 183, Tax |
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
SUBCHAPTER C. DISPOSITION OF PROCEEDS [MIXED BEVERAGE TAX
|
|
|
CLEARANCE] |
|
|
SECTION 2. Subchapter C, Chapter 183, Tax Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 183.053 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 183.053. ALLOCATION OF CERTAIN REVENUE TO DRUG COURT |
|
|
ACCOUNT. The comptroller shall deposit one percent of the taxes |
|
|
received under Subchapters B and B-1 to the credit of the drug court |
|
|
account described by Article 102.0178, Code of Criminal Procedure. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
