A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to designating March as Bleeding Disorders Awareness
  Month.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter D, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 662.112 to read as follows:
         Sec. 662.112.  BLEEDING DISORDERS AWARENESS MONTH. (a)
  March is Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month to increase awareness
  of genetic disorders that prevent a person's blood from clotting
  properly and to encourage:
               (1)  research for treatments and cures of bleeding
  disorders; and
               (2)  advocacy on behalf of persons with bleeding
  disorders.
         (b)  Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month may be regularly
  observed through appropriate activities in communities to increase
  awareness of bleeding disorders.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
