A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the designation of the Kollyn Barton Memorial Highway. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 225.129, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 225.129. KOLLYN GENE BARTON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The |
|
|
portion of Farm-to-Market Road 666 in Nueces County between its |
|
|
intersection with State Highway 44 and Farm-to-Market Road 624 is |
|
|
designated as the Kollyn Gene Barton Memorial Highway. |
|
|
(b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|
|
(1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|
|
designation as the Kollyn Gene Barton Memorial Highway and any |
|
|
other appropriate information; and |
|
|
(2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|
|
appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 225.124, Transportation Code, as added |
|
|
by Chapter 1008 (H.B. 1317), Acts of the 85th Legislature, Regular |
|
|
Session, 2017, is repealed as duplicative of Section 225.129, |
|
|
Transportation Code. |
|
|
SECTION 3. To the extent of any conflict, this Act prevails |
|
|
over another Act of the 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, |
|
|
relating to nonsubstantive additions to and corrections in enacted |
|
|
codes. |

|
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
