A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the designation of the Kollyn Barton Memorial Highway.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 225.129, Transportation Code, is amended
  to read as follows:
         Sec. 225.129.  KOLLYN GENE BARTON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The
  portion of Farm-to-Market Road 666 in Nueces County between its
  intersection with State Highway 44 and Farm-to-Market Road 624 is
  designated as the Kollyn Gene Barton Memorial Highway.
         (b)  Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
               (1)  design and construct markers indicating the
  designation as the Kollyn Gene Barton Memorial Highway and any
  other appropriate information; and
               (2)  erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
  appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
         SECTION 2.  Section 225.124, Transportation Code, as added
  by Chapter 1008 (H.B. 1317), Acts of the 85th Legislature, Regular
  Session, 2017, is repealed as duplicative of Section 225.129,
  Transportation Code.
         SECTION 3.  To the extent of any conflict, this Act prevails
  over another Act of the 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019,
  relating to nonsubstantive additions to and corrections in enacted
  codes.
         SECTION 4.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
