A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to advertising or other information regarding licensed |
|
|
bail bond sureties posted in secure correctional facilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 1704, Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 1704.106 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 1704.106. ADVERTISING BY LICENSED BAIL BOND SURETY. A |
|
|
secure correctional facility, as defined by Section 1.07, Penal |
|
|
Code, may post in the facility an advertisement or other |
|
|
information regarding a bail bond surety or an agent of a corporate |
|
|
surety licensed in the county where the facility is located. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
