A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

relating to a study on state lottery advertisement and promotion. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. (a) The Texas Lottery Commission shall conduct a |
|
|
study to evaluate the potential state fiscal impact of the |
|
|
commission contracting with one or more for-profit businesses to |
|
|
advertise or promote the lottery. |
|
|
(b) Not later than December 1, 2020, the Texas Lottery |
|
|
Commission shall submit to the governor, lieutenant governor, and |
|
|
speaker of the house of representatives a report of the findings of |
|
|
the study conducted under Subsection (a) of this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
