A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the translation of certain informational materials |
|
|
regarding the essential knowledge and skills of the required public |
|
|
school curriculum. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 28, Education Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 28.0151 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 28.0151. TRANSLATION OF INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS ON |
|
|
CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS. The agency must make available in |
|
|
English, Spanish, and Vietnamese any materials the agency develops |
|
|
to provide the public with information regarding the essential |
|
|
knowledge and skills of the required curriculum under Section |
|
|
28.002, regardless of the format in which the materials are |
|
|
provided. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
