A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the issuance of a temporary license by the Texas Board |
|
|
of Nursing to a military service member, military veteran, or |
|
|
military spouse. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 301, Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 301.2601 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 301.2601. TEMPORARY LICENSE FOR MILITARY SERVICE |
|
|
MEMBER, MILITARY VETERAN, OR MILITARY SPOUSE. The board shall |
|
|
adopt rules to expedite the issuance of a temporary license under |
|
|
Section 301.260 to an applicant who is a military service member, |
|
|
military veteran, or military spouse, as those terms are defined by |
|
|
Section 55.001. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2020, the Texas Board |
|
|
of Nursing shall adopt the rules required by Section 301.2601, |
|
|
Occupations Code, as added by this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
