A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the area of operation of certain municipal housing |
|
|
authorities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 392.017, Local Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(b-1) A municipal housing authority that operates in a |
|
|
county with a population of 800,000 or more and is located on the |
|
|
international border may undertake a housing project under |
|
|
Subsection (b) in a political subdivision that is: |
|
|
(1) located outside this state; and |
|
|
(2) contiguous to the county containing the |
|
|
municipality for which the authority is created. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
