A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to municipal standards for private roads or streets in a |
|
|
subdivision. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 212, Local Government |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 212.0102 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 212.0102. STANDARDS FOR PRIVATE ROAD OR STREET IN |
|
|
SUBDIVISION. A municipality may not impose a higher standard for a |
|
|
private road or street in a subdivision than the municipality |
|
|
imposes on itself for the construction of roads or streets of a |
|
|
similar type and with a similar amount of traffic. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
