A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a written response by the General Land Office to a |
|
|
request by a governmental entity to use certain real property owned |
|
|
by the state. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 31, Natural Resources |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 31.069 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 31.069. RESPONSE TO REQUEST TO USE CERTAIN REAL |
|
|
PROPERTY OWNED BY STATE. (a) The commissioner or the |
|
|
commissioner's designee shall respond in writing to a written |
|
|
request by a political subdivision or state agency for approval of |
|
|
the use of real property owned by the state that is administered by |
|
|
the land office. |
|
|
(b) A written response made under this section, if the |
|
|
request is denied, must provide a reason for the denial. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
