AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the transport of alcoholic beverages for personal |
|
|
consumption. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 107.08, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 107.08. TRANSPORTATION OF BEVERAGES FOR PERSONAL |
|
|
CONSUMPTION. A person who purchases an alcoholic beverage for the |
|
|
person's [his] own consumption may personally transport it from a |
|
|
place where its sale is legal to a place where its possession is |
|
|
legal without holding a license or permit. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
