A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a prohibition on the sale of prophylactics containing |
|
|
nitrosamines. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 432, Health and Safety Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 432.0175 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 432.0175. SALE OF PROPHYLACTIC CONTAINING |
|
|
NITROSAMINES PROHIBITED. (a) In this section, "prophylactic" |
|
|
means a device intended to prevent disease. The term includes a |
|
|
condom. |
|
|
(b) A person may not sell a prophylactic containing |
|
|
nitrosamines in this state. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
