A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the regulation of solicitations of private security |
|
|
companies by political subdivisions. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1702.134, Occupations Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a-1) Subsection (a) does not apply to a requirement imposed |
|
|
by a municipality, county, or other political subdivision relating |
|
|
to the time and manner of solicitations made within the |
|
|
municipality, county, or political subdivision by a license holder |
|
|
or employee of a license holder. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
