| relating to designating the first Tuesday in September as Texas | ||
| Voter Registration Day. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 662.071 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 662.071. TEXAS VOTER REGISTRATION DAY. The first | ||
| Tuesday in September of each year is Texas Voter Registration Day. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
