A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to designating the first Tuesday in September as Texas
  Voter Registration Day.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 662.071 to read as follows:
         Sec. 662.071.  TEXAS VOTER REGISTRATION DAY. The first
  Tuesday in September of each year is Texas Voter Registration Day.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
