A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

|
relating to a rodeo hosted by the Texas Department of Criminal |
|
|
Justice; authorizing a fee. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 493, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Section 493.032 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 493.032. DEPARTMENT RODEO. (a) The department may |
|
|
annually host a rodeo in Huntsville in which inmates participate on |
|
|
a voluntary basis. |
|
|
(b) The department may charge an admission fee to offset the |
|
|
department's costs in hosting the rodeo. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
