A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the costs of conducting a traffic study on the effects |
|
|
of a development project proposed to be located in the county. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 240, Local Government |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 240.910 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 240.910. TRAFFIC STUDY REQUIREMENT FOR DEVELOPMENT |
|
|
PROJECTS. A commissioners court by order may require the developer |
|
|
of a development project proposed to be located in the county to pay |
|
|
the county for the cost of conducting a traffic study on the effects |
|
|
the proposed development will have on roads in the county. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
