A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to state agency reports submitted to the legislature. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2052.0021, Government Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) Notwithstanding a law that requires a state agency to |
|
|
submit a report to the legislature for an indefinite period, a state |
|
|
agency: |
|
|
(1) is not required to submit the report to the |
|
|
legislature after the 10th anniversary of the date the state agency |
|
|
first submitted the report to the legislature; and |
|
|
(2) shall state in each report submitted under the law |
|
|
requiring the report the date after which the agency is not required |
|
|
to submit the report to the legislature as provided by Subdivision |
|
|
(1). |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
