A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the immunizations requirements of privately owned and |
|
|
operated child-care facilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 42.043, Human Resources Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) Except as provided by Subsection (d)(1), a privately |
|
|
owned and operated child-care facility regulated under this chapter |
|
|
may require each child admitted to the facility to be current on |
|
|
immunizations in accordance with the schedule adopted under Section |
|
|
161.004, Health and Safety Code. The exemptions from immunization |
|
|
described by Subsection (d)(2) and Section 161.004(d)(1), Health |
|
|
and Safety Code, do not apply to children seeking admission to the |
|
|
facility. |

|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
