A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a requirement that the Texas Higher Education |
|
|
Coordinating Board include the number of commercial driver's |
|
|
license training program certificates awarded by a public junior |
|
|
college in measuring the achievement of certificate and degree |
|
|
completion goals under the state's master plan for higher |
|
|
education. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Section 61.051, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (b) to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) In measuring the achievement of certificate and degree |
|
|
completion goals under the long-range master plan developed by the |
|
|
board under Subsection (a-1), the board shall include the number of |
|
|
commercial driver's license training program certificates awarded |
|
|
by a public junior college. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
