A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the use of the self-sufficiency fund for job-training
  programs that assist formerly incarcerated persons.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 309.002, Labor Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
         (b-1)  Money from the fund may also be used for job-training
  programs for formerly incarcerated persons to assist in the
  transition to employment.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
