| relating to the use of the self-sufficiency fund for job-training | ||
| programs that assist formerly incarcerated persons. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 309.002, Labor Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (b-1) Money from the fund may also be used for job-training | ||
| programs for formerly incarcerated persons to assist in the | ||
| transition to employment. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
