A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of the Texas Department of Transportation |
|
|
to extend the term of a comprehensive development agreement for a |
|
|
portion of State Highway 130. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 223.208, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (i) to read as follows: |
|
|
(i) Notwithstanding Subsection (h), the department may |
|
|
amend a comprehensive development agreement with a private |
|
|
participant entered into on or before March 22, 2007, for State |
|
|
Highway 130 from U.S. Highway 183 to Interstate Highway 10 |
|
|
(Segments 5 and 6) to extend the term of the comprehensive |
|
|
development agreement for an additional period, not to exceed 20 |
|
|
years, if the amendment outlines the benefit the state will receive |
|
|
from extending the term. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
