A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

|
relating to electronic correction of voter registration |
|
|
information by a person on the suspense list. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 15.021(d), Election Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(d) A voter, including a voter on the suspense list, who |
|
|
continues to reside in the county in which the voter is registered |
|
|
may correct information under this section by digital transmission |
|
|
of the information under a program administered by the secretary of |
|
|
state and the Department of Information Resources. A voter on the |
|
|
suspense list who submits a correction under this subsection is |
|
|
considered to have complied with the requirements of Section |
|
|
15.053. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
