R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, With her arrival on January 1, Ava Marie Spikes |
|
|
earned the distinction of becoming the first baby born in Jasper in |
|
|
2019; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This bundle of joy weighed 3 pounds, 11 ounces, and |
|
|
measured 17 inches in length when she made her debut at 9:34 p.m. on |
|
|
New Year's Day; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ava's birth has brought great happiness not only to |
|
|
her mother, Alyssa Franklin, but also to her grandparents, |
|
|
Charlesetta Malone and Marcus Franklin, and to her |
|
|
great-grandparents, Dortha Samuel and Lovie Franklin; the town |
|
|
joined Ava's family in celebrating this noteworthy birth, and many |
|
|
Jasper businesses have showered her with gifts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ava begins her life sheltered in the warm embrace of |
|
|
a wonderful family, and with their love, support, and guidance, she |
|
|
may truly look forward to a bright and promising future; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Alyssa Franklin on the birth of her |
|
|
daughter and welcome Ava Marie Spikes as a new citizen of Texas; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the family as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
