H.R. No. 190
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
  mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Pat and Patricia Chase
  of Sulphur Springs celebrated this joyous milestone in their
  marriage on December 29, 2018; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chase met at Louisiana State
  University in 1966 and were joined in matrimony two years later at
  Mrs. Chase's home church in Hammond; over the years, they have been
  blessed with a treasured family that includes their three daughters
  as well as their three grandsons; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Chase
  farmed, bred and trained Belgian draft horses and worked for Alta
  Genetics, and Mrs. Chase taught at Sulphur Springs High School and
  served as a consultant for the Region I Education Service Center;
  they have also been active congregants of First Baptist Church,
  where Mrs. Chase currently volunteers as a chaplain with the jail
  ministry; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chase have enjoyed half a century of
  abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Pat and Patricia Chase on their
  50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
