R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Ben Galvan has been named the 2018 Outstanding
  Chamber Member of the Year by the Victoria Chamber of Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Galvan is the owner and president of CivilCorp,
  a transportation, infrastructure, and site-development engineering
  firm based in Victoria; after joining the Victoria chamber board,
  he established one of its signature events, the annual South Texas
  Transportation Conference, which attracts hundreds of participants
  from across the state; moreover, he chairs the chamber's
  transportation committee; and
         WHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Galvan serves on the
  boards of Citizens Medical Center, the Victoria College Foundation,
  and the Victoria Independent School District Education Foundation,
  and he is a member of the University of Houston-Victoria's "Here, We
  Go" campaign committee; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan holds a bachelor's degree in
  civil engineering from Texas A&I University and a master's degree
  in business administration from UHV; in all his endeavors, he
  enjoys the love and support of his wife, Diana, and their two
  daughters, Kathryn and Jenny; and
         WHEREAS, The selfless efforts of civic leaders help make the
  Lone Star State an even better place in which to live and work, and
  Ben Galvan's contributions to Victoria are greatly appreciated by
  the city's residents; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ben Galvan on being named the 2018
  Outstanding Chamber Member of the Year by the Victoria Chamber of
  Commerce and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Galvan as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
