R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 380 Rotary Club earned its Rotary International |
|
|
Charter on January 5, 2019, and this achievement indeed merits |
|
|
special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Led by president Sina Tidwell, secretary and |
|
|
president-elect Kerry Jordan, and treasurer Cassandra Cardwell, |
|
|
the organization serves the growing communities around the 380 |
|
|
Corridor in Denton County, primarily Cross Roads, Providence |
|
|
Village, Oak Point, Aubrey, and Krugerville; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The club's 32 members endeavor to further the |
|
|
philanthropic mission of the Rotary International Foundation by |
|
|
embodying its "Service Above Self" motto; the group supports work |
|
|
with the District 5790 Guatemala Rotary Grant International |
|
|
Project, Toys for Tots, and local food banks, along with a number of |
|
|
other important public programs; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through its participation in various community |
|
|
service projects, the 380 Rotary Club is already making a lasting, |
|
|
positive difference in the 380 Corridor and beyond, and it is indeed |
|
|
a pleasure to honor the new chapter on this exciting milestone; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the chartering of the 380 Rotary |
|
|
Club and extend to its members sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
