R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Samuel Santos Sr. of
  Robstown were deeply saddened by his death on October 29, 2017, at
  the age of 65; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Jose Santos Sr. and Tomasa Santos, Sam
  Santos was born on September 5, 1952, in Rossford, Ohio, and he grew
  up with the companionship of 10 siblings, Esequiel, Eli, Jose,
  Manuel, Benjamin, Francis, Irene, Raul, Tomas, and Ana; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Santos was blessed with the love and support of
  his wife, Marcy, with whom he shared a rewarding marriage that
  spanned 44 years, and he took great pride in his two sons, Sam and
  Chris; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Robstown, Mr. Santos enjoyed
  a 30-year career with the Nueces County Public Works Department,
  and he served as commissioner for Nueces County Drainage District
  No. 2 following his retirement; in addition to his professional
  duties, he was a devoted member and music worship leader of Templo
  Jerusalem Assembly of God Church; he had a great passion for music
  and often shared his talent for singing and playing instruments
  with his beloved family; and
         WHEREAS, Possessed of a warm and generous nature and a keen
  sense of humor, Sam Santos brightened the world for all who knew
  him, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Samuel Santos Sr. and
  extend sincere sympathy to those who mourn his passing; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sam Santos.
