R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Kincaid Johnson of Montague County has been named |
|
|
the recipient of a 2018 4-H Gold Star Award; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, First presented in 1933, the Gold Star Award was |
|
|
created to recognize the hard work of exemplary 4-H members; it is |
|
|
the highest county-level achievement prize conferred by 4-H; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To qualify for the Gold Star Award, members must |
|
|
demonstrate leadership ability and participate in one or more |
|
|
community service initiatives; in addition, they are required to |
|
|
belong to 4-H for a minimum of three years, to complete projects in |
|
|
three different areas of emphasis, and to participate in a variety |
|
|
of activities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through hard work and an inspiring commitment to |
|
|
excellence, Kincaid Johnson has brought great credit to the |
|
|
Montague County 4-H Club and may indeed look forward to a future |
|
|
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kincaid Johnson on receiving a 2018 |
|
|
4-H Gold Star Award and extend to this outstanding young Texan |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Kincaid Johnson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
