R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Joe Degollado retired from the Webb County Sheriff's |
|
|
Office on December 31, 2018, drawing to a close a notable career in |
|
|
law enforcement that has spanned nearly four and a half decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of his 44 years in law enforcement, |
|
|
Mr. Degollado demonstrated an impressive dedication to the highest |
|
|
standards of his profession and a tireless commitment to protecting |
|
|
the lives and property of the citizens he so ably served, and along |
|
|
the way, he earned the lasting respect and admiration of his fellow |
|
|
officers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In retirement, Mr. Degollado plans to spend more |
|
|
time with his four grandchildren, and he also looks forward to |
|
|
cooking out and watching sports with his family and friends; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Degollado's expertise, professionalism, and |
|
|
devotion to duty have greatly benefited the citizens of Webb |
|
|
County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent |
|
|
as he embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Joe Degollado on his retirement |
|
|
from the Webb County Sheriff's Office and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Degollado as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
