R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Diane Maxey Graves of Post, who passed away on January 25, 2018,
  at the age of 71; and
         WHEREAS, The former Diane Maxey was born to Quanah and Sue
  Green Maxey on March 2, 1946; she attended grade school at the
  Graham Chapel Church of Christ and after graduating from Post High
  School in 1964, she earned a degree from Odessa Commercial College;
  and
         WHEREAS, She married Ronnie Graves on March 21, 1965, and the
  couple operated a farm northeast of Post; they were blessed with
  three children, Russel, Ron, and Angela, and with the passing
  years, they took great pride in welcoming into their family seven
  grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Graves enjoyed a successful 28-year career
  with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Garza County, and she
  especially loved working with young people in the 4-H program, many
  of whom went on to win state and national awards; she was also a
  member of the Garza County Livestock Association Board for 25
  years, and she served the organization as secretary and treasurer;
  and
         WHEREAS, A woman of deep faith, Mrs. Graves was a lifelong
  congregant of the Graham Chapel Church of Christ; she took great
  pleasure in serving others, and she showed her support for her alma
  mater as a season ticket holder for all of Post High School's
  sporting events; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to her family, her faith, and her
  community, Diane Graves earned the lasting respect and admiration
  of all who were fortunate enough to have known her; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Diane Maxey Graves and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Ronnie Graves; to her sons, Russel Graves and his wife,
  Lonna, and Ron Graves and his wife, Melinda; to her daughter, Angela
  West, and her husband, Mark; to her sisters, Orabeth White and her
  husband, Noel, and Jane Mason and her husband, Lewis; to her
  grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Diane
  Graves.
