R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Hailey Hollowell has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
|
as an intern in the office of State Representative Dan Huberty |
|
|
during the 86th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hollowell has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including attending public education hearings and advocacy |
|
|
meetings, preparing hearing requests for assigned bills, and |
|
|
corresponding with constituents; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|
|
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Ellen Hollowell, Gary Hollowell, and |
|
|
Trisha Smith, Ms. Hollowell is a freshman at The University of |
|
|
Texas at Austin, where she is a Plan II Honors student and is |
|
|
majoring in international relations and global studies; she has |
|
|
also given back to her campus community as a member of the UT Senate |
|
|
of College Councils Academic Enrichment Committee as well as the UT |
|
|
Liberal Arts Council College Ambassadors Committee; following her |
|
|
graduation, she plans to pursue a career in public education policy |
|
|
at the state or federal level; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Hailey Hollowell for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Dan |
|
|
Huberty and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Hollowell as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
