R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hines of Jack County 4-H was named the |
|
recipient of a 2017 4-H Gold Star Award; and |
|
WHEREAS, First presented in 1933, the Gold Star Award was |
|
created to recognize the hard work of exemplary 4-H members; it is |
|
the highest county-level achievement prize conferred by 4-H; and |
|
WHEREAS, To qualify for the Gold Star Award, members must |
|
demonstrate leadership ability and participate in one or more |
|
community service initiatives; in addition, they are required to |
|
belong to 4-H for a minimum of three years, to complete projects in |
|
three different areas of emphasis, and to participate in a variety |
|
of activities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through her hard work and commitment to excellence, |
|
Elizabeth Hines has brought great credit to her 4-H club, and she |
|
may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Elizabeth Hines of Jack County 4-H |
|
on her receipt of a 4-H Gold Star Award and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Hines as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
