R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jesse Fuentes was named the 2018 Volunteer of the |
|
|
Year by the Corpus Christi Police Department in recognition of his |
|
|
outstanding service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For nearly eight years, Mr. Fuentes has volunteered |
|
|
to help the department's Narcotics and Vice Investigations Division |
|
|
by researching closed drug cases and identifying seized drugs that |
|
|
are eligible for destruction; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 2018, Mr. Fuentes researched more than 4,470 |
|
|
cases, and thanks to his contributions, the division was able to |
|
|
destroy some 4,800 pieces of drug evidence during nine operations; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The dedicated and painstaking efforts of |
|
|
Mr. Fuentes have greatly benefited the mission of the Corpus |
|
|
Christi Police Department, earning him the respect and admiration |
|
|
of the department's officers and staff; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jesse Fuentes on being named the |
|
|
Corpus Christi Police Department's 2018 Volunteer of the Year and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Fuentes as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
